OH yeah. One other thing. Crown and I are heading to NYC after Christmas for four days. I'm a Big Apple virgin. Crown's only been once, as a kid. I want to go everywhere and do everything that the fab foursome ever did on any given episode of Sex and the City.
Being the rational and logical Virgo that I am, I realize that achieving this lofty goal is as likely as running into Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte in the hotel lobby. So, I'm putting it out there to you all. What should we do? What are the must-sees? Restaurants? Museums? SHOPPING? Help.

Ah yes. At last my nine month stay in Manhattan has a use beyond fond reminiscence.
MUST SEES
The Metropolitan Museum. It was pay what you could Sundays when I lived there and it saved my poor ass sanity. In particular check out the room featuring Tiffany windows, the Greek sculptures and basically their whole European Art collection.
A Broadway show of any kind - you'll be guaranteed a certain level of quality and the whole experience of being in Times Square at night in the buzz of the theatre district is thrilling.
The Bus Tour - DO THIS TOUR the first day! It's fun and fab, you can get on and off anywhere you like, you get well acquainted with Manhattan very quickly and easily and have a good idea of what you'd like to go back and check out in more detail.
Ellis Island - one of the most amazing experiences of my life was taking the self-guided audio tour of Ellis Island. It's been completely restored and walks you through the whole immigrant experience with wonderful displays of artifacts and a history of how they restored the place. I still think about that tour, and was sorely disappointed I couldn't do it the last time I was in NYC.
Ferry round Manhattan - it will take you by the Statue of Liberty. I admit it. I got choked up. Amazing.
FOOD
I loved Harry's Burritos on Columbus Avenue. I'm almost sure it's Columbus, might be Broadway. But it's west side around the 70's/80's. Really cheap and really good. Anything in Times Square is WAY overpriced unless you're doing an old stand by like McDonald's or a more upscale dinner place. Don't really have any other recs. Like I said, my ass was poh!
SHOPPING
Again, not much experience with that but I loved Bloomingdale's and Macy's just for the whole old school experience of the big department store. SOHO is amazing. Lots of great shops both big time and small fry. Greenwich Village much the same.
